We are looking for Technical Writer – Level 2 for Department of National Defence Canada with a Security Clearance Level of Reliability:

1. The proposed resource must have a degree or diploma issued by a recognized* post-secondary institution from a program in a field directly related to Technical Writing, such as:
   • Communications
   • Journalism
   • Media Studies
   • English or French
   • Technology related degree or diploma with successful completion of course(s) in technical writing

   Or

   Military experience at the Senior NCO level or higher, including the following qualifications will also be accepted:

   • Training at the QL-6 Level in a field directly related to Technical Writing

   and

   •              The Intermediate Leadership Program (ILP).

2. The proposed resource must have a minimum of 60 months of experience within the last 96 months in writing technical documents and adapting complex technical information for target audiences.
3. The proposed resource must have a minimum of 12 months of experience within the last 96 months in version controlling documentation through its lifecycle. This must include:
   • keeping track of document approvals;
   • applying logical version numbering with clear change rational; and

   •              maintaining status (draft, revised, final, etc.) of the documents.
