We are looking for (3) Computer Application Support – Level 3 for Department of National Defence Canada:

Minimum mandatory criteria:

Education: Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized Canadian^Footnote* post-secondary institution.

Experience: 24 months relevant experience.

Typical duties may include:

• Coordinating emerging technology application specifications
• Serving as a user support liaison between vendors, information systems technicians, and end-user departments
• Providing training expertise and direction in the area of emerging technology and special application support
• Emulating or reproducing technical problems encountered by users
• Providing advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
• Recommending and implementing complex security requirements
• Providing business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
• Collecting, organizing and maintaining a problems and solutions log for use by others
• Verifying accuracy and completeness of work performed
• Designing, configuring and deploying server-based file systems and applications
• Identifying, researching, and resolving complex technical problems
• Recommending new products or processes which support and enhance the user groups business activities

Planning or participating in the implementation of a department wide system upgrades

Additional Mandatory Criteria:

1.  The proposed resource must clearly demonstrate the following certifications:

• Completed Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professional plus Internet (MCP+I) certification;
• Completed Certified Information Systems Security professional (CISSP) certification within the last three (3) years;
• Completed Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification within the last five (5) years.

2. The proposed resource must clearly demonstrate the following work experience:

• A minimum of 120 months of combined demonstrated work experience, providing technical support in IT environments, including Windows Desktops up-to and including Windows 10;
• A minimum of 48 months of combined demonstrated experience, within the last 96 months, using EITSM tools such as Axios Assyst or BMC Remedy;
• A minimum of 36 months of combined work experience, supporting Citrix technologies and thin client devices;
• A minimum of 24 months of combined work experience, within the last 60 months, working with cross-domain solutions to allow for safe and secure transfer of information between classified and unclassified networks; and
• A minimum of 24 months of combined work experience, within the last 60 months, utilizing Active Directory (must include Active Directory Domain Services [AD DS] and Active Directory Certificate Services [AD CS]).
